Analytics Tags
For analyzing trends in real-time or from a pool of historical data, use a combination of VTScada tags, widgets and tools like the Historical Data Viewer (HDV).
Some tags collect real-time data. You can store raw data, apply calculations, use values in expressions or create graphic representations using tools like the HDV viewer or other widgets. For the real-time monitoring of live data, the most useful and universal tag is the I/O and Calculations tag.
Other tags in this group provide inquiry functions that you may wish to use such as Counters, Totalizers, Alarm Status counts, etc.
Statistics tags are out-of-the-box calculators. Pick the calculation you want, specify a length of time to use as a sample size and a rate at which to repeat the calculation. The resulting value will be time stamped at the start of the span to accurately represent historical trends over time.
I/O and Calculation Tags - I/O and Calculation tags can read, write and store values. Monitor real-time values and optionally apply calculations for analytical analysis.
Counter Tags - Count the zero to non-zero transitions of a digital tag.
Totalizer Tags - Create a running total of another tag's value over time.
Rate of Change Tags - Monitor the rate at which another tag's value changes.
History Statistics Tag - Provides a statistic relative to a given time span. For any tag with a numeric value.
Digital Statistics Tags - A set tags for calculating non-zero time and zero to non-zero transitions of digital tags.
Analog Statistics Tags - A set of pre-configured History Statistics tags for any tag having a numeric value.
Calculation Tags - A legacy tag with a limited capacity to apply calculations to specified values.
Script Tags - Activate a script module, based on a set-point that monitors another tag's value.
Function Tags - An older technology for creating calculations, based on other tag values.
